Newbie,How long to install 7# ATI? Will be doing one of these in a few weeks & just wondering how many hours it took to do one.What do most shops charge to install a procharger,in tank fuel pump, inj.& gauges(electric fuel press & mech.boost) TIA for any help.
With Twin ICs, two friends and I about a full day for the SC. The fuel pump was top cut out, so that takes about 30min. And havent installed any guages yet. You will deinately need a Impact Gun for the pulley bolt, a dremel is also a good tool to have around for expanding bolt holes and stuff.

Gauges: Bout 4-5 hours
Injectors: 20 minutes
Fuel Pump: Bout 3-4 hours (top method)
S/C: Damn crank bolt took 4 hours (you definately need a nice strong impact)
Intercoolers were a PITA..that was another 2-3 hours.
I got hung up on parts, but would have had the entire thing done in about 20 hours (working slowly with a buddy...and I've never worked on the motor of a car before)
Hopefully I'll finish up this weekend.

Me and a buddy installed the procharger kit in about 6 hours....But he is a mechanic so he flew through the whole thing...and we had everything sorted out before hand...Couple of hangs up but nothing to bad... The gauges and harlan shift light took about 2 1/2... I had speed inc do the rest...

The blower install itself took me about 8-10 hours to do on my own. Electrical took me about 4-6 hours. Fuel took by far the longest. Hard to say, but two weeks, a couple of hours a day. I'd say maybe 20 hours? Lot's of custom fab stuff that took plenty of time to do. I wasn't rushing and was on my own and doing it for the first time. Not to mention went a little over kill on the fuel setup for the kit I have. If you're just swapping a pump then you could do it all in a weekend. A buddy would be a life saver if you're gonna try and squeeze it all into two days.

Ok,got it done yesterday & it took about 20 hrs to do the ATI kit,LS6 intake,Electric fuel gauge & manual boost gauge (the intake & gauges I did by myself the rest was 2 of us) & put the pump in by the drop-the-tank method.The Procharger was actually the easiest part of the whole deal.Just thought I would let you guys know about how long it took us & THANKSfor the replies!
