I ran a s472 with 1.10 83mm wheel and loved it...22psi was great spool really fast....yes even when it was a 6 speed. At lower boost levels 9-12psi it wasn't really all that good...18-22 was at its happy place. When I switched it to auto (4l80) it really woke up even at 12psi. With the auto at 22psi in 3rd gear 3.42 gear it would spool 2100rpm 1 psi and 22psi was about 4200. Just had a eBay manual boost controller, but once it got to about 10-12psi it really started to spool up hard. Hope this answers your question.

Yeah you should spool it fine. the 75mm wheel has 1 less blade and will spool a little quicker than the 7 blade 80mm comp wheel

Thanks I'm going T6 because I'm on the budget side of things, and I'm building the kit so why not save the $200 extra they charge for the T4.

And also rolling brake spool to about 12-14 psi before it will burn the 315 nitto drags off at 65mph lol. When racing from a roll I could brake spool it in 2 second gear to any boost I could hook...about 8-10psi. And this was all done with the t56. The auto makes for much nicer and easier launches on the street and really picked up compared the t56 but both transmissions worked great with the 72

Thanks for helping out and giving me your feedback. One day ill go th400. For now the goal is to get it running, get the trans built by TDP and ride the 10bolt till it breaks. I'm anxious to know what boost really is. I've never been in a Turbo car.

You have any videos?

Yes Jose will hook you up...I've gotten 5 turbos from him. The t4 is gonna cost about 200 bucks more then the t6 version.

I was told not go to any bigger then a T4 s480 87mm turbine with my LQ9.
Mainly because it was a t56 car and it would not spool properly on the street. A T6 with a huge turbine wheel will be super laggy.

You were told wrong.

Id put 100 dollar bill on the T6 1.10 spoolig slightly faster than the T4 1.25.

If its got the correct evo for the ci and turbine it will spool fine unless you completely screw the pooch on the tuneup.

You start jerking timing out at 1 psi... theres not a turbo in the world that wont be laggy.

How would a T6 s475 83mm 1.10 spool on a 02 4.8, 03 ls6 cam installed on a 114 intake centerline? T56 and 3.42. In a 95 camaro. Or am I better off spending the $200 for the T4.

If you are one of those guys that want to pull stomps...it's not gonna spool that fast with the t56....if you want a fun car that spools fast and has amazing mid to top end power get the t6 s475 1.10!

I've never driven a Turbo car, I don't want to race from a dig since I have the 10bolt. I was thinking more along the lines of highway pulls. 40-140 MPH.

Man I wish I had some videos of me roll racing. At 12psi on my setup you will beat 600's from 50mph up....on 22psi like 30mph and up. Brake spool it first and you will take off. I always had 315 nittos I would ran them at 15psi when doing roll racing.
Specs on my car
Stock k member
Stock shocks front and rear
Zr1's 11's in the back 315's
Stock 10 bolt
Founders performance control arm drop brackets and sub frame connectors
Spohn tq arm
Proline springs
Nothing special car has 161k
