Default Opinion on a cam please

EVERYDAY Driven 2000 GMC, 07 model lq4, KBRacing mp76, walbro 255, FIC 75lbers, br7ef, dynotune gauges, voodoo boost controller, Tru trac, factory 3.42's, 3.5" DP and exhaust w/3.5" cutout and a 4" magnaflow dumped, turbo blanket, Yank SC3000, Jakes' Performance 4l80e w/brake, hydroboost, EFILive v2, lc-1, Lunati dual springs, Isky 212/212 561 on a 112 cam . Stifflers/homemade longbars, Nonnie/slowec S/D 2 bar tune, QA1 front shocks, 28/10.5 15 M/T drag, Drum swap rear, Alky-control, MSD 8733

I have a 222/226 596/598 on a 109 cam new in the box. What effect would it have in the above setup?

THANKS

the 109 has quite a bit of overlap, I would stick with the isky. Most are trying 112-114 lsa's to keep the cylinder from bleeding away boost out the exhaust.

I understand the overlap is the issue. This cam was supposedly speced by Patrick G for a 5.7 turbo build though. Just hoping someone on here could offer knowledge as to why it is what it is or could predict how my turbo setup would like it.
THANKS

If that's the case, maybe PM him and see what he thinks.

do you have the cam already? if so and you dont mind trying it out, The results would be interesting to see how it changes the power/torque curves over the isky

You should probably add another fuel pump too. 1 walbro 255 isnt going to take you there.

Not really sure why my old 255 is still keeping up. I am currently running high 10's for air/fuel though so it is not leaning out on me yet. I have another meth nozzle I was planning to add as well. I have been researching intakes fuel rails and fuel systems though.

While the cam was spec'd for a 5.7, what turbo was spec'd?
That small turbine on a 6.0 will cause a lot of backpressure unless you plan on 10psi or so max. There are two common size MP76mm turbines. 65mm and 68mm.
Makes a difference. For your 109 cam in a 6.0 you'd want a MP45 which is 77mm iirc.
Stick with your current isky or get a bigger turbine setup.
Talk to Stock48 about his GT76 combo or look into a BW S475 83mm 1.1 T6. If you have the 65mm turbine, it's really too small for a 6.0 unless you go low boost and shift at 5500 max.

Excellent point! I don't know. I am currently looking at a turbonetics T76 1.15 . Trying to get more out of her and I know my turbo is small. She is growing up one step at a time. Just got a 22x12.5x4.5 intercooler on her.
Thanks for responses!

Don't get dad new socks or a grill brush this year.
