another blistering 1.78 short time

cut a 1.65 my last pass and missed second cuz i suck

the commentary is provided by my slackjaw pal rice-etr

the tank was 3 gallons 116 and about 3 gallons of the 110/93 mix i dynoed on.

boost was 14 psi oh yea and only water in the intercooler, no ice..

congrats dave,is that the factory hood,it looks bigger,oh yeah and IT SOUNDS LIKE FORCED INDUCTION,lol what a dork,they always do stuff like that when i go to the track,HEY LOOK ITS ON OF THOSE BURNT ORANGE PEEL COLORS,drag announcers are so gay

trans, its a suncoast raptor hood.. more agressive version of a firehawk hood (and no heat extractors)

he he... yea sorry folks.... .... anyone from EFA will tell you standing at the very top of those ancient wooden MIR bleachers trying to hold a camera with the crazy crosswind we had and with freezing hands is loads of fun.... so i was all over the place. and the commentary..... still buzzin from the night before, and i got excited... i promise I am not that hick sounding normally

if i could get a 1.5 or so short time i have no doubts it will do 140, and at least 145 when i turn it up to full tilt full weight.

that pass shift was fine, on the way home though (missed the 1-2 on my last pass) i noticed when in 2nd the handle was rigt up against the console.. so my handle must have shifted backward on the stock shifter base.. that may have had something to do with it.. but when i was thrashing doing the clutch and trans last week i noticed the slave was really worn, but didnt have one to swap in at the time. so that is suspect.

the car definitely moves around, im just really glad i have the wide 10" wheel and a stable tire that these hoosiers are.. or i may have had 'trouble'

it was bogging, not on purpose first pass i blew the tires off and i guess i backed it down too much for that pass. the 1.65 was starting to feel good though.

oh i forgot to mention. i drove the car there on those tires 70 miles in the rain and drove it 70 miles home same way.. no trailor for me! didnt get any races on the way back though

i'm not sure the backfiring deal the shiftlight is set at 6250 or so and the rev limit is 6450 so i shouldn't be hitting it.. but something is happening.

i do have my 2 step activating at the very bottom of the travel on the clutch pedal.. maybe i'm accidentally activating the 2 step between shifts?

that might be it then.. you can hear it studdering (like rev limiter) between shifts or right before u shift... i have not watched the video yet so I dont know if u can hear it in that.
