859hp/721tq on 14lbs today. My gate spring was maxed out. It hits 16lbs on the street.

I'd shoot for 10.5:1-11.0:1 in an all out race application that will see 25+psi on race gas. Higher on Alky.

As superdave said the installed centerline and intake duration will play a big part in what you can and can't run timing and boost wise.

Isn't Tom that used to have the Red Rocket running like 13.5 on M1?

If that's the case then you can run that on them wrong pistons LOL!

Alky is a wonderful thing.

A friend who races in Outlaw275 has a 94mm G-trim that he pushes 38psi through a 10.5:1 compression SBC. He runs M5, and could of gone higher if he wanted.

Bringing this one back up.

I have an 11.3:1 416 cu in engine and trying to see if I ran pump 93 with meth injection on top of it will I be ok or will I have to go to something like 110 fuel or c16 with meth?

I would say that's kinda high for pump 93 even with methanol injection.

Depends on the dynamic, but it's going to take a big ol' cam to bring it down enough to be considered safe on pump gas.

For pump and meth I'd want it around 10.5:1 maximum if the dynamic is right.

It has a cam for nitrous in it right now. It was spec'd by Geoff@EPS for L92 heads and a 300 shot. The specs on it are 240/251 .640/.637 on a 114. I would most likely change it for something more boost friendly if that looks like it wouldn't work.

Even though that is a pretty big cam, unless you're going to run a blower like a centrifugal or a roots it's not going to work well with a turbo unless the turbo you're going to use has a 111mm or bigger turbine(which is what you should use on a 418) and even then it's slightly bigger than what I would use.

Well, thats kind of what I was shooting for as far as turbo size but maybe a little smaller since I will drive this on the street a little. I already have an OFI stainless T6 hotside and an A2W setup laying on the floor of the garage. Just trying to figure out if I should stay with the nitrous setup or go the turbo route. I know my car would be faster with the turbo system on it but I also have everything for the nitrous too. By the way if you can't tell the engine is not in the car yet but I'm trying to convince myself to go the nitrous route but I know the car will be stupid fast with a turbo on it but the compression is on the high side.

What about 11.6:1 5.3 stock stroke crank and rods with arp pro series fasteners studs and rod bolts for bottom end. trickflow 205 heads arp pro studs and trickflow cam 220/224 575 split and 112 lsa.

Curious about a procharger p1sc tuner kit for say 6-8 lbs intercooled 2 or 3 core if I can fit it.
