heres the pic of it, the gate opening is right at the point it just starts to the turbine blades.
the car is pretty much done,
plans to start tuning 2maro

Like atomic stated, you don't need one if the turbine housimg is sized accordingly. That is how it was done back in the day. Its no where near ideal since you are basically choking the engine and creating massive back pressure. That's a pretty trick idea putting the gate in the housing

Similar to the old Cheetah turbos from Turbonetics, they had a flange casted into the turbine housing.

That's a bad *** setup, I've never seen that done on the turbine housing.
