With a turbo you can pour in the power with a boost controller that can ramp in boost by gear, time, % over time, stepped boost increments etc.

Good luck putting down the power with a Roots style that is instant torque. Not going to happen. Burnout city. Once boost is set by the pulleys you choose.... that is it.... there is no changing its characteristics.

There are also belt alignment issues which you will read about time and time again with superchargers.

Since you don't need long tube headers for a turbo setup... you save $ there. In the end they'll cost a similar price to do it right. Unless you can install/build either yourself it'll cost some $$$'s.

Turbos can be stealth or wild. Just run an electronic cutout on your exhaust for both options.
