Heya Martin. Finally found my way over. Heh.

One offering to begin my contributions here.

Stop thinking about camshafts in terms of duration and lobe seperation angles.

There are only four items that need to be considered.

Intake valve open

Intake valve close

Exhaust valve open

Exhaust valve close

Once those are determined the durations, lobe sep angle and icl are just numbers that come up.

Theres never a reason to open your intake valve later than 0.

Theres no real reason to close the exhaust valve earlier than 0.

And Martin.... Reverse splits work just fine in the correct application....heh. Remember...140 rwhp gain with a reverse split over a standard. LOL.

We won't get into the reverse split discussion...yet.....LOL

Oh and welcome aboard, you will be pulling your hair out....cussing at the computer...banging your head against any solid object found....and be getting infractions soon enough...LOL

Heck if it wasn't for that cam you did I'd still think reverse splits are the devil(wonder who gave me that idea........hmmmm)

Anything that is correct for the application is correct for the application.

Do you base your EVC and IVO strictly off of .050 numbers, or do you take the .006 numbers into account as well?
