Safety equipment FTW! Hard to watch these things happen, but having been on the wall a few times myself keeps it real. Build your car to the safety rules and designs with quality craftsmanship and when things like this happen chances are you walk away. It was a huge relief to hear Andy was ok after I got news of the crash.

We fixed Mike Brown's car... we can fix this one too(and maybe add a few tricks along the way)

Glad to see you walk away relatively unscathed. Must have been the best feeling in the world to see your family after going through that. Good luck on the rebuild and glad to see you not hurt.

As I said on the phone, very sorry to hear about the car. Luckily your ok and just bruised and sore.

That car sure sounded like it was on a misson that last pass....

At least we were able to figure out and fix your electrical/boost gremlins

Sucks about the car, but glad to hear your okay. I was down there until 12:30am. It was very unorganized and alot of time being wasted. There was no reason for you guys to be making runs that late/early.

Hope to se you out there next year.

Andy glad to see your fine and you can be with your family. If you need anything lmk as for parts specifically to get that car together (if it can be?)

Also any other pix of the aftermath? Im just so shocked like you and everyone else with the way it hit the wall and spun several times.

I remember my buddy about 8 years was cruising his 9sec stang down the street at 5am in about 40* weather. he was going about 85 he said and it was on ogden and the car launched to the right as fast as he could say o ****- it hit a building and wrapped it around a pole and totaled it. Police and Fire say it was because of the cold weather the tires just spun out and it goes where it wants. He never raced again in cold weather and I refuse too.

My very first run at the track I hate a supercharged C5Z06 spin in crash into my lane....... I was able to lock em up and stop as this was just after the christmas trees and I had a shitty launch spinning "luckily" .... Until that moment, when I was the one ON the track, I use to be like everyone else, and watch races hoping I would see a crash......from that moment on, I don't like seeing crashes at all anymore.....

The guy in the Vette was fine, just a bruised up car and pride after hitting the wall at about 70mph, and me, I learned a very valuable lesson in the world of motorsports. Something that ANY OF US who have actually taken their car to a track knows, and that is, its never a "FUN THING" to see someone wipeout.

My wife has told me she will never again go with me to the track to watch me run the car. She doesn't want to be there if someone calls my number...

I am glad your ok, that is the important part. Video's like this remind us all how important it is to not forget our safety equipment.

I still recall a member posting about how he was drinking beer and running his car at a Test and Tune...... And he wondered why he was crucified....

I'm assuming the guy in the other car was ok also, as no mention was made of him, looks like you both took one hell of a ride. And the good part! Lived to tell the tale.

Thanks for the video.

Wow, just heard about this... We left at midnight after my car got loose in that same area... We lost the round and felt like the track was slippery there.

I'm glad to hear you are ok... You car was flying this weekend for sure.

I'm certain when you get back out you will pick up right where you left off.

Sounds like VHT track compound which is great stuff does not work below 45F it has a rating. Too tired to go see. Slicks don't like cold weather either.

Us grudge guys spent 5x what everyone else did to race.
