This what i like to hear. i was thinking about sending them to AI for there performance rebuild and calling it good. this will open some change to get parts that will keep the motor alive.

If its an aluminum 5.3 why not leave it stock if you are only shoting for 750 whp. And I would just use the 799 heads the aluminum 5.3s come with. No head to drop the compression from 9.9, which is what the l33s come with. Just do ls9 head gaskets and head studs and save yourself 2000+ dollars.

No need for that. Stangkilr is running upper 10s with a stock bottom end and 14+ lbs of boost. The days of low compression boosted motors are over with methonal injection. A few experts on here say 10-10.5 is where you want to be.

the weisco pistons that im looking at will yeild a 10.4:1 compression with a 61cc head. I looking to get it around 9.5:1 i can pick up 317's for half the price if not cheaper then what a pair of 243/799 heads cost. Plus i bought it as a shortblock so it came with no heads at all. This will be a all out build. May even wait and go with the trickflow 205cc heads an shot for 1k rwhp with the 5.3.
The ls9 head gasket will be a must.
