Would I need a "ported" TB or it wouldnt matter for FI?? I am in search of a LS6 throttle body to fit on my 4.8 turbo 70 chevelle swap...
My question is, would a "ported TB" work better than a stock TB for my turboe'd motor or would it not matter at all since I am gonna put a 76MM turbo on it????
What is the best or the largest size I can use on a Turbo 4.8 with a LS6 intake???
(I have a LS6 cam, but I think I will buy an LS9 cam to take its place!!)

Technically every little bit helps in some way. Maybe not necessary but if you find what you want for the right price, go for it.
As far as largest size on an ls6 intake I believe its 90mm but dont hold me to that.

Unless youre going to put a modified neck on the ls6 intake or jank it up by enlarging the bore via die grinder then stock 78mm is the biggest. The ls2 intake will fit your motor and is a 90mm intake in stock form.
Bbk,eBay,pp have 80+mm with 3bolt pattern. But the stock truck one is enuff, if anything just remove the ridge behind plate, change out blade screws for button heads, and maybe polish up the bell mouth and rest. Good coat of hi temp silver or black paint and ur good. Save a few bux too.
Stock TB on my firebird. Also have a friend making over 1100rw on a slightly ported TB. If you can port it yourself or are planning on making over 800rwhp, it may not be a bad idea to go ahead and do it.

Just put a stock LS1/6 TB on it. You could port it a little if you like, but it really isnt necessary and doubt you'd ever be able to measure the difference.
But the stock TB has been proven well into the 8's
Anything bigger is a total waste of money and just reduces throttle resolution/control
