No. However, if my PTE62/62's would have held together I do think they were PERFECT for a street and track car. Instant spool on the street and ran like a raped ape at the track. For me though, I am willing to give up a little of the spool to be faster at the track. Won't know for sure until I hit the track a few times but these 70's sure feel as though they pull much harder. I hope that equates to faster times.

The 62' were fun just taking off, or from a 35 mile per hour roll, etc... The 70's and the tune I have right now are just absolutely ******* insane on the highway! From anything above 50mph on the highway this car is downright SCARY!

It's been a while. I thought I would post a current shot with the New Pro FLo XT, all the hotside wrapped and sealed, the return fuel line with a heat shield sleeve, The cold side intake portion and blow off valve re positioned, Catch can re positioned and polished, firewall smoothed.

The power glide is in but the drive shaft yoke is too short. I also need to get a bracket to hook up the shifter, get the new Kirkey seats in and she is ready to go. One week until the track opens up. I think I can have it driving by Sunday.

I really like the way the pro flo looks and the down pipes and hot side all wrapped. That alone should keep my engine bay temps way down.

Thanks. I plan to hand paint the BOV, and re paint the lettering on the intake with some silver touch up paint. Just to off set the dark black engine and engine bay.

I took an idea from dvillegt and took my filters off and put on some aluminum mesh. Looks good and has to do better than the 6" filters I had on there.

It does look great! However, I could swear I had seen data indicating that screen like that flows worse than good filters.... And of course it doesn't filter as well. Where did you get that in aluminum?

I have seen compressor wheels just sand blasted from running nothing but a screen. Seen that a lot on little import cars. If it is race only, go for it, but if you are driving on the street I would slap some kind of filter on it.

Wow. That proflo really completed the look of your setup. The monochromatic look is slick on your car

Is it better to run the filter right off the compressor or put some piping on the compressor and run it some where that fresh air is and then connect the filter?

Anytime you can get fresh air to the turbo, i think its a plus. Cooler air is always better. If was i going to add piping, i would step up in size if possible.

Going back to your mesh thing, as to not fill up the other thread, the mesh will restrict. If it were me, i would remove the filters at the track and run the biggest filter i could fit, on the street, if you have to add pipe, smooth bends and the bigger the better.

Well, everything went well today. I got a video of the last pass. It was leaving at 10lbs and running 10lbs. My first time with the PG and it launched well for what I tried. We tried to launch at 14lbs but it just blew the tires off. As you can see from the video the track was stupid slick. It was only 38 degrees. Some of the 5 sec cars only ran 7's, no traction. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 55. I am going to put my 28" slicks on and turn up the boost. I also had a hard time getting used to the power glide. Only shifted at 6200. Tomorrow will plan to shift at 6800

I logged all my passes. I only shifted at 6300rpms which is way too low. Took some getting used to after haveing a TH400. Also, I need some help. I had some areas that had a KR of 3.9 I was told that was too high. What do I need to do to drop that down? Just add some more fuel? Timing was not high in that area. Timing is still 13-14 degrees. Tried to run higher but I was worried about the KR so I didn't mess with it.

I love this Pro Flo and new PG. I think sub 5's are in the bag. Drove 40 miles, made 5 passes and drove home on my Drag radials. I can post my log if someone wants to look at it. I don't want to change anything except to fix the KR.

get that timing turned up after you fix your kr issue, put the slicks on, launch at 14lbs, and shift it higher and i think you'll have some low 6's high 5's
