hey bro(wicked69), here is what I would prefer to see.

sell your twin turbo hotside and coldside at cost to any number of willing chevelle owners who would like a bolt on turbo setup.

get you an s400, $650 last I checked, and do a single turbo setup. Borg warner turbos are well built, and even if you lost a turbo you would be out less money than similar twins, and it would still get you to your power goals.

That's a good question. I am not sure how much the cam makes a difference but I run the XER273 224/230, .581/.588 114 and 3.90 gears. The Gt45s are quite a bit cheaper.

I think the twin 70's will spool quicker. Twins are more fun for the street also

twins DO spool quicker, but you gotta play to pay. two wastegates, two turbos etc.the cost adds up. if starting from scratch again, i would do a single setup instead of a dual. ive seen single setups that have no problem roasting the tires on the street at any speed

wicked69. I dont see the turbos in the link . how much are they? my buddy with the tube chassis camaro is running $169 turbos and so far so good. he lost one one time, like 2 years ago but it was like $169 to replace and hes been problem free so far.

I was looking at the ON3 T70's which are $299 each. They look perfect. The GT45's are cheaper at $189 but I was worried twin GT45's would be too big for a 5.3 and my convertor stalls around 3800-4k. What turbo is $169?

go with the gt45. the on3 is nice but will have more backpressure due to the smaller turbine wheel. the gt45 has a 68mm compressor wheel wich is fine. if i would have done it over again, i would have done the gt45 instead of the 76mm

so to get things straight for you, gt45 has smaller compressor but bigger turbine. the on3 76mm has a bigger compressor but smaller turbine.

FYI that isn't the right GT45 that has been in discussion. here's the link to the actual GT45 everyone has been running:

that on3 is very similar to the master power t70, and is actually a bit bigger than the gt45 you linked. that gt45 is also 109 shipping from china so it is no bargain at all.

my buddy is running t3 turbos so they are a bit cheaper.

btw, on3 has 61mm turbos now so ill be using two of them for my lq4. same turbine wheel as the 76mm and 70mm. 65mm turbine wheel t4 .68ar and 61mm compressor wheel .70ar. same price as the t70. should spool quicker than the t70 and support 1050hp for the pair.
