T6 s475 on 5.3 truck?
There is a local guy selling a T6 s475 with a 96mm wheel and 1.32 ar housing. I will have to redo my hot pipes to run it which isnt too big of a deal. Right now im running an on3 76mm with a 65mm wheel and 1.0 ar housing. I know its a huge jump but how would yall think the bw turbo would work with my setup? So far Ive been 11.4 @121 with shitty air on 14psi. Set up is 5.3 with stock heads, TU1 cam, Ill be throwing a TBSS intake and TB on it, TH400, circle d 3000 stall and 3.42 gears. Weight is around 4200

well if you can put it together and manage to leave 1" of lateral movement for the downpipe and IC pipe I would put it on there without a spool valve first. They are expensive but they flat out work, I did it with a home made setup back in the day BW S475 on a 6.0L with just a cam and it was similar to a PT7675 for spool but made crazy power, around 800whp.
Instead I would just get the converter restalled to a 3600. But if you do buy a spool valve it would be pretty much spot on with what you have now

Even if it does spool to slow for your liking you can always put a different a/r housing on it and keep the 1.32 on the shelf for later on down the road! This thing is going to scream up top and it will help with your traction problems in 1st gear, but maybe not help in 3rd

What are you going to do with the turbo, drag race, street race, road race? If it is an auto and you are going to drag race it I wouldn't worry to much. I have this turbo on a 6liter and it spools pretty quick, but not quick enough for a sudden roll on street race.

I agree with getting a diff turbine housing for now and holding on to the current for your future/bigger engine.
And well if you do it and need a quick sell on the on3 I might know a guy with another white Lsx truck needing a turbo

Im going to do it. Well as far as weight reduction, just the basic stuff, jack, spare, brackets, center console, gas tank, bumper. It weighed 3985 with the old nitrous setup but I figured it gained a little with the turbo stuff. Its gonna gain another 30 with the new turbo lol
