i got this statement a bunch of times on yellow bullet, and honestly im not trying to troll you or provoke a online chest bump name calling post session here...

but what provokes you to say that, and what is the reasoning behind it?

my curiosity is getting the best of me.

is it a macho response, or a disrespectful response, or just a empty headed internet response?

ive never in my life seen someone refuse to run someone else at a dragstrip and i have been doing it for a while. how many times have you stopped in the burnout box and asked that they send the other car down first.

is it based on purely you think the car is junky?

im just trying to understand this programmed response

I took it as he wouldn't run next to you because how fast your car is going to be. That's just me though.

Like i said in your fairmont build, i think they just dont get it. Im not gonna lie, this car is beyond fugly. Its the red-headed stepchild of fugly. But it proves that it doesnt take alot of money to make power. $69 studs instead of ARPs, ls9 cam, MS instead of hptuners. Like i said before, the more i read the less money i spend. Old school hot rodding for the new generation. Thanx again for the inspiration.

Its the minimal amount of effort you put it to everything you build. THAT makes me not want to risk MY LIFE next to you in a lane! including what you post on yellow bullet, call me a troll but i do my share of browsing. You take the get-er-dun the fastest route and that makes your car a redneck health hazard.

what a shame.

the cars are stock with stock suspension what is dangerous?

and a 180mph 8th mile drag radial car isnt dangerous?

So when you go to the track do you first walk around and look at every cars safety equipment, then go sit in the stands and make a chart of how fast the cars run and which ones are safe enough for you to run against?

I see where you are coming from, but I highly doubt that you are worried about the car next to you when you go to the track. Wondering if he has the proper roll cage for his time, if he has an approved helmet, if his seatbelts are in good shape, and so on.

Or are you just going to avoid every Fairmont that you see at the track from now on

I kinda see the guys point. However IMO you can do it on the cheap and still be safe.

If someone is building something fast with no concern for safety, regardless of how much money is spent, is just ******* stupid.

I'll say this. I think going fast on low buck **** and some ingenuity is cooler than the guy who refinances his house to go just as fast with big sponsor name brand ****. I also respect guy who build their own stuff. Not farm everything out. **** a lot of guys just don't want to turn a bolt on their cars.
