Default Single T6 vs. Twin T4, your thoughts!

Looking at building a kit here for higher horsepower applications and am debating between the following two options. Please give me your thoughts on which you were prefer and why, also which you would like to see out there available!

1.) Single T6 set-up. Set up for a 5" discharge with a 4" down pipe ran through the K-member (turbo style needed). Would target it to fit such turbos as a BW S400 series, Turbonetics Y2k or Thumper, Comp CT6x, etc. If you like this set-up, I would also like your opinion on a Single 60mm Wastegate or Twin 44mm Wastegates.

2.) Twin set-up, T4's. Set up for Twin T4's with 3" v-band discharges. Run either dual 3" downpipes through the K-member (turbo style needed), or run the 2 downpipes into a single 4" and run that through the K-member. Would target turbos such as twin Turbonetics TC76s, TC78s, Precision 7675s, Comp 7879s.

Let me know your thoughts and what you might prefer to see. Of course with a set up like this, A/C would be removed, turbo style K-member required, radiator required to be stood up, etc.

Thank you!

Jon

I would like to see another twin kit come out to the market. ESP if it will be budget friendly like your single kit is now. (which I will be installing tonite lol.)

As far as down pipe goes I'd like the the twin 3inch pipes for my car.

Twin setup.......maybe after that make a variation of your t4 single setup to use a t6 turbo with larger dp and what not. I just say his since you are already covering the single t4 setups pretty well with a nice quality kit for a fair price.

yeah if it is comparable to building the kit myself i may be purchasing one myself. I am redoing my twin 70/68 turbos with 3" dp's when i get back from this overseas tour. but i cant pay $900 for a kit i can make for $350 without a warranty lol. of course it will be more than that considering labor. will you vary between steel/alum to affect kit costs? offer coating as well to boost sale potential being a one stop deal.

Just gauging interest at this point. Unsure where your figures came from or what they are based on, but pricing is the last thing to be set once everything becomes finalized.

Twins for sure.

If you end up needing dealers for them let me know. The F-body market needs a good quality twin kit out there that's a good price

Thanks guys!

I have a big order going in with Turbonetics here shortly and I am debating between ordering up 2 extra TC76s or a Y2K T6 88mm. I am leaning towards a couple extra T4's.

have there been any mass produced twin kits using a T4 turbo? Seems like it would be tough to package and most people going that big would probably be doing more custom work themselves. Just stirring some thoughts.

Packing wouldn't be any more difficult than a big t6. Both are going to be packed but they would both require no ac, no sway, stood up radiator, etc

No chance a nice quality stainless complete turbo kit could be done for close to that pricing. Our single t4 kit is priced super competitive just as this will, but no sense in talking about pricing now as many variables play into that to which are all up in the air at the brainstorming level

Do an affordable twin kit that keeps the ac. Or a big single that keeps the ac. There is not an affordable kit that keeps the ac on the market. It would be a good seller, as a matter of fact I am thinking about producing them.

I could care less about AC but you would sell me on a nice affordable twin kit.

We already have an AC kit in the works!

This poll is for a big power kit, it would fit cars who are not worried about A/C, have their radiator stood up, and want to make in excess of 1000 hp!

To each their own, but a kit that can make that power with ac would be more impressive. The kit I built on my car should do 1000hp with ac. . .

Would you use a set of truck manifolds or other factory manifold for a twin kit or fabricate your own headers? Id love to see a truck manifold non ac stand rad up twin kit. I already have a turbo kmember for a future turbo build and was just starting to research the possibilities.

Our AC kit will still support plenty of power. There comes a point when for certain amounts of power you have to sacrifice a bit. Big single or big twins, keeping AC with big piping to support big power is asking for a lot of fab and fitting, and with that you can can certainly have it... but it will cost you!
