Default 4.8 turbo going into 3rd gen firebird 30k

OK guys Im trying to put together a plan on the the motor for the car. I have both a 5.3 with 180k on it and a 4.8 with 30k on it. I have a 4l80 with stock converter and a shift kit going behind the motor. The car will be full weight with a 8point cage. The motor for sure is getting a hx55 turbo that i have lying around with truck manifolds. As far as the motor i am trying to decide what exactly to do. I have searched and still am undecided. I want 6500-7000rpm with a z06 cam. 80lb injectors (will be on 93 octane). This will be a street car and will be driven on possible weekend trips. It will have a stock truck intake and rails. Stock heads maybe slight port job just to clean the ports. Now where the questions and opinions come in. I want between 550-650 whp. And possibly 16-18psi. Head studs are a must. Now......

1.Should i gap the rings and if so to what???

2. Should i do some arp rod bolts???

3.Any suggestion from people with experince with boosted lsx motors???

4. How long do you think the 4l80 should hold up???

5. What rpm are people turning these motors through an auto such as the 4l80???
(I did search but i couldnt really find too much i think 6500 was about the normal i found)

I am not new to turbo s but i am with the lsx motors. Thanks Stephen

What year are the motors?
I would use a different springs. I use lunati dual springs.

I would leave the bottom end alone. And headstuds are not 100% needed for that boost level.
It's been proven that the stock headbolts do pretty good if under 20psi with a spot on tune.

The motor is a 03. I was considering different spring i was just wondering since i was given this set for free. So stock head bolts and gaskets should be fine??? Im guessing just watchto see if i push out any water and that will tell me if im having a problem right??? Thanks Stephen

Ok i think im going to be safe and pull the pistons and open the ring gap up some and put them right back in with the same bearings but with arp rod bolts. I want to put head studs( but may wait), and ls6 cam with some good springs. I think since i have some extra time next week i might pull the heads or steal a set of bare heads from a friend and do a little porting and polishing. After i get it running the big question is will the trans hold for awhile. I doubt it but we will see. Is there anything else you would suggest when i swap it in to the car?
