You need to know the pulley sizes. The boost will keep climbing until you start leaving the upper power band of your motor. Best way, get a data logger of some sort and monitor the boost.

Something is wrong with it. Boost should climb until red line. Internal belt slippage?

Boost leak, belt slip (the most likely candidate), malfunctioning BOV, powerdyne unit is starting to go. Its one of these.

Check for belt dusting. Run your finger on the inside of the belt and see if there is any loose belt powder that transfers on your finger (or if you see it on/near other pulleys or parts near the belt). It also will give signs, like similar to what you are seeing. Boost going up to a certain rpm then stays there or drops off as the rpms rise. Most people see this unless they are running low boost (8 pounds or less) or a tensioner.

But just because you are only seeing 4#'s doesn't mean its not belt slip depending on how tight the belt is (especially under load).

Doesn't the Powerdyne have an internal belt, though?

Simply put, if it has a belt attached to some form of pulley on the supercharger, that feeds some how to the hub, then it has a belt that may give you the "belt slip" we are talking about, and you can check to see if it is slipping as I described to you earlier.

Sorry for the delay its been a busy few months.
It does look like I have some belt slippage, how can I go about making sure it stays tight? My friend tightened the tensioner in june when we were doing my opti

Well, if the tensioner is already as tight as it would go, I would say its in need of a better one.

SDCE is the tensioner that I use, and it works great. Problem is they know they are the best out there, so just because they can, they charge a premium. I think I dropped like $500 for it, and that was years ago. I think they may be even more now (I really hate companies who do this kind of thing).

Before you go hog wild and get a different tensioner, verify yours can't be tightened further, then maybe look into a different belt. Goodyear makes a good belt that seems to grip better than some of the others out there.

You can also get a wider belt for more grip. How many rib belt are you running now? 4? 8? If you can step up widening it, then that should also help.
