Right on i just seen a couple threads of guys complaining about them. I wasn't sure on which ones. Didn't realize ur motor was already built as well. Are you gonna run meth? Im running the AES390, brian at AES said his car had 30k+ miles on his short block at 1100+hp should be fine lol. Wishful thinking.

Right on.

Long as he stays 20psi or less, he shouldn't lift a head. Im going for the same power goals on a 390 and brian and I at AES figured up, that In a perfect world, 16.87psi should make 1000rwhp on a 390. They did some testing, and they see the LQ blocks start to push water at the 22.5ish psi range on a 4 bolt setup. He said it expands the cylinder walls more than it lifts the head. Words from AES.

I'm waiting for some myself. Talked to Joe and he said he will try to get the cold side all welded up today, so we'll have to see.

ABS block has been gone for like ~ 2 years and I have never regretted it!

Here is a nice update. After getting settled in at the new shop, Turbo Joe has gotten some solid work done. Just about wrapped up now

Looking good, I personally would v-band the entire cold side except the compressor and throttle body.

Fixing blown couplers on the side of the road is no fun, even with the piping bead rolled those clamps can only hold so much.

Factory location, that is not my car that it is being mocked up on. I am tucking the radiator under the front core support.

Yeah, for most i do agree! I do like vbanding as much as possable, and use minimal couplers. For this kit i wanted to make sure that if he were to take the 2 charge pipes off they can easly be pulled. The 2 couplers are very easy to get to.

Nice fab work... why have the intercooler outlet on the side vs. the top going straight to the throttle-body?

Didn't want to deal with the hood latch issue/fitment with the radiator/hood etc

here are a couple more. Everything welded up, just need the charge pipe up the middle to the TB now

Anyone have words of advice for tapping my LQ9 block to accept the alternator in the f body location? That is my next order of business.
