Apparently truckin just recently did the same but with a 5.3 and took it to failure at 1300 hp.

The failure was a lifter, not the bottom end. These little engines are awesome

whats funny is they are 5.5ft mustang dyno rollers weighing in at 4250 a piece and it has a load cell, but for whatever reason it just work like the highway.

most cars dont have a problem but mine and some others do like his.

Odd, but I encountered the same thing on a HUGE 72" roller Land and Sea that had eddy breaks and when we went to the street we had to turn the boost down 3 psi. This happened even when loading the car with the break. The only thing I can think of is the overall load is just not as representative as the load the car sees on the street going up hills and such.

Thats how a turbo works, it likes a load. Thats why you can run tall gears, and why a car wont boost in neutral, great work.

Truckin didnt "do" the article... they purchased the right to print it from the author Richard Holdener.

I wont spoil part 2..... but it makes more than 1300.
