Default Plugging or routing heater hoses?

How did you guys plug the heater hose stubs coming off of the water pump on the passenger side? I don't have a heater/blower in my 67 and wanted opinions on plugging/capping. What do you guys do?

Just use rubber caps with a clamp or pull the fittings and tap them for a plug.

Pull the sleeves out and tap em. 1/2 NPT and the other is 3/8 NPT. Buy the Allen head recessed plugs.

That's what I did and the rubber is already breaking down and the thing hasn't even ran yet! =\

Thanks for the tips everyone else, I had heard mixed results with plugging, figured they wouldn't really make a difference in coolant temp.

LS1NOVA - What pre molded hose did you happen to use? I love your build and our cars are nearly identical (front clip). Would be nice to know.
