I went with 8" wide 2.5" BS wheel on the front. On the back I have 325/50's I don't recall the BS but wouldn't be the same as I have a 9" rear out of a 76 granada.

Thanks man. I'll have to sort out my rear before I decide too.

Looks Bad ***. If I had it to do over again I would get a disc brake ford explorer 8.8 with cal tracs. It's a bolt in deal just have to pull the leaf spring in very little.

Thanks. I need to search your thread and some others. I want to get the ride height more driver friendly and I'm not sure how it's been lowered or what it would look like with stock height S10 stuff under it.

I Would like to do the exploder 8.8 but I don't want to tear it up after the whipple is on. Hopefully I can keep the current one alive while it doesn't have the blower on it and save for a mean 9" and some 35 or 40 spline axles.

I don't have a build thread, don't do them. I have stock height suspension, just channeled the body. My sled is a junk yard build though.

I thought those 8.8's were damn tough with 31 spline axles. I snapped an axle at 60 mph on my 9", wild ride. It had the stock axles so I now have 33 spline mosers. I am only at 650 rwhp though.

update, been sidetracked getting the d1 procharger on the blue car lined out. I gave up on whipple bringing a bigger front feed blower to market and I sold two fbody cars so this erl 427/all pro -1/twin 7876s/4l80 is going in the 49. Got it back from the body shop back in november. I have the front clip off right now and waiting to redesign things so the hood stays on factory like and the fenders/grill remove in one piece. Typing with one hand so will fill in more details later

That's going to be one nice ride when you get it done, I'm still gathering parts for my builds. I was trying to decide on mild or wild on my 51 Chevy long box and picked up a 5-window short box parts truck that is just to nice to be a parts truck lol. So now I'm going to build two at the same time. Long box is getting a 18,000 mile LY6 4L80e combo and the 5-window is getting a 408 with BDS 6-71 and a one of a kind Pete Jackson injection converted to EFI. Engine made over 900hp on the dyno..... Can't wait to get it on the road.
I'll be following your project so be sure to post lots of pictures!
