Default '49 5-window Chevy

I was going to wait to post up my DD until it was closer to the finish, but I need some parts to get it there and there is a ton of traffic in this area.

First off, it's a 49 Chevy. Going to the paint booth on Nov 10th for a coat of satin black on the body, some door art, porno red paint on the interior, and black on the frame. I'll get some pics of it up as soon as it's back from paint.

Swapping a 408/4l80 into it that "was" going to go in my Camaro. Will run it NA for a while, but eventually going to a big whipple so it fits here.

Things I'm looking for:

DBW wiring harness and ECM. (I'm running 24tooth wheel)
Controller for 4l80
ignition coils
valley cover
valve covers- prefer fabbed/aftermarket tall ones
Heads- Aftermarket cathedral port
Rockers- roller/shaft mount 1.7

Figured I'd check here before buying new. Don't mean to make this a wanted section thread but figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I'll keep this up as it progresses. I plan to drive the crap out of it come Spring but should be running and getting a street tune sooner than that.

As it sits now. I'll be putting it back at a more reasonable ride height after it's running. Prob wind up on a 15x10"wheel/29.5" tall rear tire with 17x8s or so on the front. Street truck.

youre serious about turning it into a generic flat black with red "rat rod" truck?

I like them too but its a far cry from a ratrod. My idea of a 49 if I were to order it from Chevrolet today.

I have a 4l80 in my 54 that I run off the the factory pcm. works great, the other factory parts are a dime a dozen on ebay & the parts section on ls1tech. Clicky if you want to see my **** sled:

Got the harness and ecm covered I think. Thanks ls1tech. The door art won't be fake signage.

Code4- photobucket didn't work for me. I found a harness and ecm to do the same thing.

Cool, I got my pcm from a 1/2 ton truck & had it re-flashed for the 80e. I think I fixed the link. It's a vid.

Killer. Don't know why you're letting some non wrenching turning **** work on it at an accessory store though.

Porno Red interior FTMFW! Going to be a fun build.

Update- Truck went to the painter last week. De-badging the hood, minor body adjustments, and paint going on. Mr. Twotonefreak got the 350/th350 out of it before it went to paint. Have the new longblock and 4l80 all lined out. I need to order a wiring harness and I'm figuring out what size wheels I can get under it that look right. S10 frame/stance is narrow under that body.
