Default 88mm single turbo build

After buying A 98 fbody as a roller 7months ago I finally get to start on it.

here's the run down.
98 fbody 2000 ecm/harness, In the last 7 months been buying parts, factory seats, MWC FAB 9 3.50 gears, afco fully adj all the way around, billet specialties wheels, built 4l80e with a py 3400 converter. solid engine mounts, PT 88 turbo, l92/823 heads, lunati pro series 3.622 billet crank, k1 billet rods and wiesco flat top pistons, had a cam and decided it was not turbo friendly,
pulled the car into the shop last weeken and started cutting the front rad. support to stand the rad up,
Had all intentions of building a 365 lq9 engine, but I have two 5.3 complete engines laying here, I decided to do a modded JY build, stock 5.3 with arp 2000 rod bolts, main studs, head studs, and a factory ls2 cam, sum home ported 241 with ls9 gaskets,
I have been kinda back and forth on selling the 88 for sum twins when I was doing the 365 to keep back pressure down but with the 5.3 I hope it will be good.
I build my own engines, I do all my own fabbing and I have a guy help me build trans,, I hope I can have it fired up and on the street sum time in dec.
whats are your thoughts on this cam 239 252 623 623 114, this is the cam I have new left over from my procharger days, I put it in the engine last night to do a piston to valve check and it did clear with .098 of clearance will this cam hurt or help the lil engine that could
pics will be up soon for the work that was done last week

That is a Pretty large cam for a 5.3 turbo setup, I'm sure it'll still make power though.

tonight I got to drop in a mock up block to see if the cross over pipe would clear the frame rails, (built it outside of the car on a engine stand)first time trying it in the car, everything cleared with ease, the hot side does delete the ac but retains the alt. in the stock location, I pulled the manifolds back off and and match ported them to the header gasket, I plan on doing the same to the heads, and finishing up on the the porting all together tomorrow night, then going to try to get the fuel system built.
ls9 injectors from FIC 127lbs I think. single 255 in tank,(every day driving) with a magna fuel 4103 fuel pump for when the boost comes in,wired up on the elec. boost controller aux switch at a preset boost level.
pics to come

lol its def out of the ordinary but I seen it over on yellow bullet, a guy had twin 88 and was very restricted for space and he ended up with the gates on the housing, I liked how is looked. Sooo
with the limited space I had to work with and I didnt want to make the drivers bank take a 120' bend to get to the gate.
I was afraid it would make uneven back pressure on the engine, cant get much more even then this location.

Running a wastegate in that spot is very detrimental to turbine flow. IF you have the option, and the space, it needs to be done before the turbine inlet.

sometimes there isnt any other option, but it should be a smoother transition, and before the little slit where you can see the turbine wheel just start to poke through

THE GATES STILL IN THE BIG PART OF THE MOUTH OF THE TURBINE, ABOUT A 1" FROM WHERE IT START TO CHOKE IT DOWN FOR THE VELOCITY.
May try to fire this weekend but not any where close to hitting the ground
