on3 ford headers with ls1 flanges questions
I modified an on3 kit for a 302 and after mounting the turbo it is not sitting level. However the angle its sitting at doesnt affect anything so leaving wouldnt be a problem. Will the turbo not sitting level be an issue?

Not a turbo guy so no advice on the performance side, but that kind of sh*t drives me nuts. I would take the time to get it straight and level now while it's on the stand rather than when its in the car. To each their own if it wouldn't bother you but I would find myself staring at every time I popped the hood and getting pissed for not just doing it the first time around... OCD sometimes

Its not to big of a headache Tim. (I hope it stays that way) With access to some bad *** free welders I cant really complain. I'm going to stick it in the car and make sure everything clears before anything gets modified further. Not a bad kit for $300.00 in my opinion.

Bare in mind most motors will sit rocked back I thee car, so the turbo might be level when u put the motor to trans! Its not a issue. Look at the Aps vettes turbo kits! The turbos are rocked back alot on them kits.
but I think the turbo will level out once the motors in the car

If it was me I would cut it off after the collector and put a v-band and get a new merge made.
The wastegate placement on it isnt ideal anyways, just another reason to do it right imo.

I think i could get away with cutting the t4 flange off and trimming the merger to get the flange/turbo level. I'm going to try to leave the rest alone so it stays a "budget" build. I didn't skimp on the fuel system so I can always upgrade the turbo stuff later.

I dont think the price difference would be that much depending on what kind of gate he went with.
I personally hate rework and with the waste gate only regulating what is coming from the drivers side I would think he is gunna have issues controlling it.
