Wrong blower in my Goat

I installed the wrong rotation blower on my GTO. So right now, I am looking at viable options to get this fixed. I have a CCW rotation unit that was intended for a vette. I've exhausted my options as far as having vortech make simple swaps as they want me to buy a new blower. I have access to a CW impeller. My question is: if I buy the correct impeller blade and use the same volute, would that correct my issue? Right now, the car isn't building any boost and I think it is attributed to the incorrect rotation. I am under the impression that the volute is only needed for the orientation of the engine and not the facilitation of getting air out of the blower correctly. Some who has a good physics background or knowledge in blowers chime in and please help me out with that.

IMO the discharge would need to be going the other direction too. If not, then the impeller would be trying to push the compressed air into/toward the smaller section of the compressor housing instead of out of the discharge horn.

A few various angles would be cool also of the install.
Yours is the 1st I've seen of a non reverse install on a 4th Gen.
Very interesting. I like seeing things like this when people think outside the box.
