Default Making "log" turbo manifolds

I have done a pile of searches with no real info. I plan to make a couple log style manifolds for my turbo project. I am not doing truck manifolds because I want to keep the A/C. I will be using 304 stainless and I'm interested in some input on sizes. I'm guessing 1 5/8 primaries, but not sure of what thickness. All for primaries will run into a single tube(the log) and I'm unsure of the size and thickness that should be, maybe 2 1/8 or 1/4? I plan to have the turbo supported to keep the stress off of the manifolds and pipes.

So far, I'm planning to get everything from these guys:

Any input, links or pics would be appreciated.

Modify stock manifolds to a log style.

Why not a c6 manifold on the passenger side?

Don't have to build nothing but a crossover and still keep the A/C/

Also would like to note the 2" pipe fits perfectly (butt welded) with 2.25" v bands.

How well do the logs work compared to stock manifolds or headers?

you got the 1/2" thick 1.75 flange? Seems like a pile of gap to fill with the 1.5" primaries. Did you weld inside and out on the primaries?

thanks

The fit isn't perfect but it's not bad. ID of the 1.5" pipe is actually more like 1 5/8. We did outside because the manifold was bolted to the head to minimize warpage.

The sizing on those weld els is decieving.

Its 1.5 inch Nominal.

The ID is actually 1.600.... almost 1 5/8's.

The od is 1.830-1.850. The flanges ive seen set up for a 1 7/8's pipe allow the weld el to fit inside the flange against the face of the head almost. It ***** it just a touch. I backed them up till the end of the pipe was square to the flange and had them welded on both sides of the flange and the surfaced.

I like how you fed that end cylinder into the log shawn... great job on those.

Edit:

The dimensions stated above are only for the schedule 10 stuff.
