1/4 watt will be just fine. use 1/2 watt if that is all you can get.

this is really all I have so far as wiring diagram goes.

Have either of you two guy tried to integrate a flex fuel sensor?

Denmah that could be especially useful for you since the corn is alittle remote for you

I'm really diggin all the new options out there, and the price is deffinately something just about anyone can afford, at about 1/3 or less than the price of a FAST, BS3, or Holley EFI setup for a relatively easy system to put together. MS has been around a long time, just never seen it used to run an LS motor until now.... assuming that has to do with the MSD to control the ignition side of the operation.

it can do flex input, but that is also the two step activation wire, and you can only choose one option from that list.

yes and honestly the MSD and ms1 are so bullet proof as a combo, and the msd comes with the whole harness you just plug that SOB in and not even worry about it

Knowing what I know now... instead of buying a stand alone LS harness, a pcm, and spending the credits on HP Tuners (200 bucks worth) to get a 3bar SD OS, I could have just done the MS1/6010 and had a million less wires and a smaller package.. could have also saved about 300 bucks.

I have a dual fuel system, so I don't need/want a flex fuel sensor.
And I haven't found a decent way to plumb one into any other system I have installed.

This Microsquirt can do the flex input and the launch control at the same time. but you will be running out of inputs quickly using a flex sensor. It only has three asignable inputs, unless you expand it using the CANbus, and then there are very, very many inputs and outputs.

Bring the flex fuel sensor in on the Flex input, and the 2 step in on either the "spare adc" or the "spare adc 2", assuming you are not needing to use them for other stuff.

Also, this Microquirt can add/pull fuel, and add/pull timing based on the alky percentage sent to it from the Flex sensor.(actually been that way for years, but few use it)

Ya I'm tempted to try it out. Looks like it will arrive Tuesday or Wednesday so I will have to get to work quick. Also want to use the knock sense if I can. But for now just the basics to get it running

There are provisions for knock input on the MS2/Microsquirt, but you will need something to do the conditioning, before it reaches the the input to the megasquirt.

The MS1 and MS2/Microsquirt have basic knock control, but the MS3 has a much better knock control system.

We don't tune off knock much anymore, we just do plug reading.

well, i have been running the micro since friday, everyday now, had the car out on 20lbs of boost many many times now, and today i kicked the **** out of it without the meth installed for fun on 21lbs

250f inlet temps no problem, works great with e85 lol

i plugged the meth back in and i will be reverting to the meth tune and then getting this thing on the dyno at the end of the week to see what kinda power i can make.

well i have a colder thermostat in my car now, and its on e85, i think the mileage will suffer a bit from both, not sure on how its doing mileage wise right now though.

i think its great though, the car would have absolutely lost some pistons today

21lbs of boost, nomethanol, non intercooled 250f inlet temps and 800ft burnouts in 2nd gear, and no problems

cars pulling 20 inches of vac, and idles at 800 and is sitting at 151f coolant temp all the time haha.

i like the E85 alot because the garage and my clothing doesnt smell like ******* if i run the car for a while in the garage lol.

e85 doesnt smell bad when burning and also the smell dissipates faster.

How much boost can a 5.3 take on 93 octane and say 50/50 water/meth? Would it be better to run straight meth?
