So is the MS1/MSD setup the ticket if you want to run IAC controls? Can you run low impedance injectors with either the squirt or ms1 setup? I currently have an AEM driver box, do I need to keep that?

I just got my turbo fairmont cranked today on Matts micro squirt he built. easiest install i ever done. It cranked right up and once it got a little heat in the motor it idles great and the throttle reponse is awesome this is the way to go if your doing budget turbo builds like i do and want it to work right and be reliable.

microsquirt setups can do it, but i have never wired or set it up, im sorry i cant comment on how to get it to work with these setups, but in my opinion they are not needed!

So in an attempt to remain spackle free I figured out how to force the iac into place. I tried to apply voltages to it with no luck. All I got was buzzes. So I pulled the iac out and decided to twist the pintle thing hard. Turns out its threaded onto the coil part. Loosen it until the iac won't seat all the way on the tb then tighten up the bolts. It holds water. We will see how it holds up to vacuum

Lol. I just did mine the other day. Thought I would be a smart guy and do what you just did cuz I knew the plunger was threaded, so screwed it out and bolted it back up pushed on it with a screw driver just to see. Well no dice it opened rite back up. So unscrewed the plunger all the way stuck a quarter inch washer and screwed it back together and worked good locked it up solid. Just a heads up

Hot glue gun. Easily removed if needed and customizeable.

I started it up a few times this morning with the set screw at about 6% tps. It kinda surged at idle but I think that's just because the tune is RUFF but it doesn't look like the iac moved. It didn't pull it open and idle up atleast

I also realized that the chines can build a turbo but they can't build an ignition coil. Brand new out of the box and it doesnt work. Bad feedback here I come eBay!

Could I bother you to explain how you wired this? Is there internal modes that have to be done? I have been reading all I can on it and I just cant seem to wrap my head around it when it comes to the Microsquirt unit. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Is there any reason you chose microsquirt over megasquirt 2?

Very simpler/easy wiring and smaller is why i use Micro.
