Installing ATI: damper question

Installing ATI: damper question I'm installing the D-1SC 8 rib w/ an ATI damper. I pinned the crank snout w/ the necessary kit. I'm about to assemble the ac pulley and damper. Just to make sure there is no necessary orientation of the damper to the crank snout because this is a distributorless system? I'm gonna use the old crank bolt to press the damper on and then use a new one for the install. About how far should the damper go on? Any tricks or previous expience would be helpful. Thanks in advance 
Yes,use the old bolt.It helps to heat the pulley hub on a hot plate or pan with boiling water to about 300 degree's.This will expand it enough to slide 1/2 way onto the crank.More threads to start pulling in pulley.Also bottom out the pulley to the timing chain hub.
