DOnt know if you were using my setup i built years ago for a reference, but that wont even come close to working for you.

the single plate bracket will flex massively, and you basically HAVE to use a manual tensioner. I had a 10 rib and it would still slip a little even with the manual tensioner and dual 3/16" plate bracket.

Using the 7.8 and 3.12 pullies I would get about 16# out of my YSi on a built 355 at 6800rpm. With a 2.75 pulley it would make just over 20#

Also on the LT1 cars the suction line and filter are a massive restriction. If it isnt as big as possible and very efficient it wont make any boost. with the 3.12 pulley and a crappy suction side i could gain 4# by running the blower with no tube or filter

Wow that's a nice bracket. Did you make that or can I buy one? But what your saying is my spring tensioner is too week and the single steel plate is flexing and loosening up the belt? That makes sense

yeah I made it, its pretty easy you can use the other plate as a pattern and have some spacers made to fit as well. You have the same crank pulley I would buy some wider pullies and use the 10 rib if possible.

And yes, between the bracket flex and the tensioner you are getting some serious belt slip

That would be awesome but a pain in the *** for him. Maybe I can make something that will stop it from pulling forward

my setup was:
full forged 355
stock heads with valvesprings
ported lt1 intake
1 7/8 longtubes and 3" duals
2 bar SD on stock PCM
T56, Mcleod twin disk
9"
ysi
10 rib
4" CXRacing FMIC with a Tial Q BOV
3" piping
stock throttle body

thats about it, anyway it made 710whp at one point, when I switched to the 10 rib and went SD I made a few pulls and it was making 570whp or so with teh AFR below 10.0, 15* timing. Lots of belt slip it was making around 12#
Made the new brackets and such and never dyno'd again, but on the 3.12 pulley I was around 700whp making 14-16#
Guy that has it now has a 2.75 pulley and it makes around 20#, maxxed out 65# injectors on gas so somewhere in the 800whp area
