Well, 918's definitely will not work with the cam listed up top. Expecially under boost.

The graph looks like a timing problem which can also look like valve float.

The pulls have to be done locked converter on that 4L80 to get any kind of good tuning/numbers from it.

Boost controller is just a eBay electronic one with ****.
I realize the 80e needs to be locked for higher numbers but I doubt I'd be at 600 like I was hoping.

Slowhawk what do u mean timing problem?

Also, what size FMIC are you running? Could be restricting flow at higher RPMs. Maybe. Just thinking out loud....
Fmic is 3inch thick with 3 inch in and outputs and it's the same size most use here.

13-14 degrees. Engine is 9.5:1 comp and on 93 octane.

I bet it would make close to 600 with a locked converter and full boost throughout the pull.

Just looked at your cam specs again. I think you may be getting valve float due to the power peaking at under 6000rpms. That cam in a 347 should peak CLOSER to 7k.

Also, are you taking the boost reading before or after the Intercooler?

Boost reading at intake after throttle body.

Ahhh, then that rules that out. Hell, I'm running 2.5 in and 2.5 out. Nevermind.

I'm running tea dual golds. Seem to work pretty well. I'm running pretty mild lobes though, eps and lxl.

Brian Tooley Racing Platinum springs...enough said.

If you have 30k miles on your springs it's time to change them. Valve float will cause power to peak early and fall off quickly like yours is doing. Combine a set of old valve springs with XER lobes, and you've got valve float, on top of that with boost....yea...I'd get a new set of springs before anything else like these guys are telling you to do.

Slowhawk hit it on the head with saying 918's will not work with those lobes and boost. Tooley's spintron testing@TEA showed the "gold" springs(which are duals and not beehives like the 918's) that a lot of people used to run showed massive valve float brand new with XER lobes.

Makes sense. I'm going with BTR platinum springs, thanks tech and thank you Martin!
