Edelbrock Vic Jr VS. Edelbrock Pro Flo XT

Edelbrock Vic Jr VS. Edelbrock Pro Flo XT
I am trading straight up my Edelbrock Vic Jr. and Tall elbow for The Edelbrock Pro FLo Xt in Black Powder coat. The main reason is because of the straight up trade and the fact that I think the intake would look absolutely wicked with my Twins in my al ready 69 Chevelle called "Black Death."
A couple questions.
1. From a performance standpoint shouldn't this intake run just about as well as the Vic Jr? My car is a street and strip car but as long as I don't lose anything for the strip and maybe run a little smoother on the street I would be happy. Do you think they will run on the street and strip about the same?
2. I am running the Edelbrock Rails. Will those same rails work on the Pro Flo? Can I use the same gaskets that I am using from the Vic Jr. Basically I am trying to find out if this will be a direct swap?
Here is a picture of my car and engine compartment. I think the new Black Powder coated intake will look sick on this car and off set my paint job well. What do you all think? Waste of time or good swap?

1. Yes it will run just as well. The current LSX record holder used the pro-flo XT on his race car for quite a long while at power levels over 2000hp and it seemed to do just fine.
2. The edelbrock rails SHOULD work. I have those same rails on my pro-flo setup. To make completely sure though, check out edelbrock's website and see the part number on the rails the recommend.
Good luck, and enjoy the new intake! I sure as hell do!

Thanks man. That is what I wanted to hear. I definitely think these things look bad ***. The winter is a good time to "clean" up my engine compartment area with the new intake and "tweaking" things a little.

How do these compare height-wise with the Holley Hi-Ram? It looks like the Edelbrock is a little less expensive and probably more streetable for an N/A application, huh?
I specify N/A application because I'm not really sure streetable is a concern when a turbo is in the system... Since they pretty much always provide mild amounts of positive pressure they throw intake tuning out the window to some degree...
