Default Gauging Interest: Custom Build per Order Kits

In addition to the current production turbo kits we will continue to have and add to in the current market, I am checking to see if you guys would be interested in also the option of custom one-off, build per order kits. With this, you would be able to customize your options, turbo size, turbo location, piping size, piping material, retaining specific options such as A/C, sway bar, etc.

Of course the one off kits would take some time to build, and be quite a bit more pricey, but if the interest is there I would be glad to offer the service. Where as I have seen this fail a few times in the past since I have been a member and a vendor here, I have a few ideas to help implement a solid structure so the customer is protected against long delays and heavy up front costs.

If interested, I would offer custom truck manifold kits and truck manifold/C6 combo kits with both of these combined to offer versatility in turbo mounting locations, retaining A/C, retain front sway bar, turbo sizing, and material choice.

I would set some basic pricing for a few options, and based off that if a customer is interested in a specific kit knowing the round-about price, I would further consult them to nail down a final cost for everything, a deposit price to cover the materials, and a time-frame to which the turbo is to be completed or else the deposit is to be refunded in full.

Let me know what you guys think, and if enough interest I can put forth some basic combos and pricing on it!

Jon

Thanks!

Yes, the kit for blackbird's car with A/C will be a production kit! It can retain front sway by using a spacer.

Gto kits yes please, only issue is 04-05/06 models are slightly different but not by much.

Best bet would be make a 05/06 type kit and 04 guys will need to swap radiators. Other than that the 04 has more room by the abs it sits closer to the wheel well. 05/06 is practically on the plug wires compared to 04.

I am definitely thinking about a GTO kit, however this would be more of a production style versus a bunch of one offs for them.

Would you prefer a single or twins?

It is in progress. Just finished up mock up of a cold side for it. Going to mock up a final, usable kit in stainless for the hotside and aluminum for the cold side, fit it on the car, run it and make sure all is well, and then we will proceed!

any more news on the ac retaining kit that you can share?
But i think your base kit is the best entry level on the market, not that i would order anything custom but im sure adding more options will attract more customers.
