First Turbo LS Hey guys, looking for a little advice here? I have a third gen camaro that im building an LS for. Staying with the stock crank but building all forged pistons rods etc. Sending a set of 5.3 liter heads to texas speed (with cam) when the block is completed. Im wanting to build a turbo set up for this car but dont want to spend money where it is not needed and risk not spending it where it is you know the normal battle.

Single turbo or twins, and what sizes, what brands to stay away from? Also boost recommendations?
I would like a set of twin turbos, but if a single is a better idea lets here it.
Also for a turbo set up which intake is best? all I have is two truck intakes now.

If the truck intake fits, then run it. I have been 125 mph with mine in my 4300# truck and it's got more in it. As far as what should be done to the engine, at the least you should do LS9 head gaskets, ARP head studs (some use the chinese studs with success), LS2 timing chain, LS6 oil pump or melling oil pump, good dual springs, and hardened pushrods. I would also get LS7 lifters but they aren't 100% necessary. Also, some people open up the top ring gap to prevent ring butting, but others dont (like me) and have great success, if I could do it again I would prolly open them up just for insurance. But since you are getting forged pistons, the aftermarket rings should be at the proper gap. Also good rod bolts.
As far as which turbo or turbos to go with, it all depends on budget, hp goals, and what the car will be used for. If you want something budget that would be a potent street car that can run 10's with no problem, checkout the ebay gt45 turbo. They are only $260 and have been proven many times by some members on here.
