Default inlet pipe size?

I'm running an s480 turbo with no intercooler on a ls3 headed 6.0. My inlet pipe will be 8 inches long. Should I use 3 inch or 4 inch diameter pipe?

I would do whatever size the inlet is on the turbo.

Are you talking about the inlet that fresh air comes into the turbo then goes out the discharge? Ifso, the borg has a 5" inlet, and as David said, i would not go smaller.

But, since you are asking about 3" or 4" im thinking you might be talking about the discharge, if it was me and its that short, i would do whatever size i had available to me, 3" works fine but going to 4" wont hurt anything.

Travis, 4" is what I would do. Isn't your elbow 4"?
