Finally got my junk to the track. Ran a 9.60 letting out a little before the marker. Got a 370 with F1A @ 16psi.

No go right ahead! I actually have a c5 z06 with a p1sc now.. I ran 11.9@124 with a 2.1 60ft. With a set of mt's I think I could knock .6 or better off my et and gain a few mph trap speed.

Only 136 because I hit the brakes before the marker. So prolly would have been closer to 150. Should run a lot faster once I can it to launch @ 5k with the 2 step..

Okay so its been like 4 yrs since ive raced. Went through a bunch of upgrades and now have a mwc fab9 , aster bracket with cbm 8.65 crank and a 3.7 procharger pulley . sd tuned running about 12 lbs at 6500.

still stock cam and heads , aftermarket pushrods, valve springs , ls9 headgaskets , and arp headstuds . Water meth . bbk longtubes , no cats to 3.5 catback with 18inch bullet muffler after the axle .

Got 6 runs at a track rental yesterday and i left the car just as i drove it to work and how it always is.

Ran on nitto 555g2 and got a best of 11.73 @ 125.6 . The car dynod at 620hp 570 tq . The car with me in it weighs 3860. The car no driver is 3565 . Doesnt that seem high for a formula . Must be the procharger and ford 9 added over 100 lbs.

But just wanted to update this . If you spin a p1sc-1 high enough you can make power . I attribute this to the aster bracket and the large crank pulley , i think i could pulley down to a 3.5 and be at 65000 rpms . but its so good im gonna clean up under the hood this winter.

Just happy to have a stock heads and cam ls1 making 125 traps.

You're doing very well banging gears with the stock heads and cam! Bob

Cool setup. Ive always been a fan of a simple motor and letting the blower do the work. 620rwhp sounds about right but you should be trapping way higher than 125. 600rwhp in a 3800 Fbody should be 131-132mph and mid 10s (if you hook)

I sold my 408 and Im looking at building basically what you have, except in a LS2 (stock cam, heads & intake, forged pistons, stock rods) and running a D1SC

I used an online calculator and with the car weighing 3850 and trapping 125 it said I should make 620 hp. That's right where my Dyno sheets indicate. I also Have 3.50 gears in my fab 9

I may also think 620rwhp would trap a bit higher. But... I doubt it was easy to get out of the hole with the 3.50 gears. Also it doesn't look optimized for the track. What were the 60' times & what rpm are you going through the traps? 1/8 mph?

I say nice job.

Is your 620hp at the crank or wheels?
I assumed it was wheels since that's what 99.99999% of the people on this site measure their power from.

Below are real world results from 600 RWHP procharged cars at full weight 3800lbs. All trapping 130+
The bottom thread is a stock LS1 with the exception of a LS6 cam, Turbo pushing 12psi, mid 10s @ 130 at my local track.

take a look at the JRENIGAR that posted above you. 6.0, D1SC, 602rwhp full weight, traps 131.

Stick cars won't mph if the traction or 60 ft is bad enough. I've picked up over 10mph from a tire and 2 step by dropping the 60ft from 2.0 to 1.5.

620 is Wheel from the Dyno I was tuned at. Yeah my car isn't optimized for drag racing. I didn't even lover air pressure in tires. Matter of fact I haven't checked it in 2 months. I drove it like I drive it around and raced it the same way.

I made 6 runs and was getting better with the launch but the best 60 ft was a 2.0. I needed more practice but I had fun and got 125 traps which I wanted so I left before sosomething broke.

I think the 3.50 gears hurt and having a stock cam. Most guys have gone to a larger cam which I'm sure helps lower in the power band.

I have no idea on the rpms going through the traps. My father asked me tthe same thing and I had no clue.

I'll have some results early next year as the new toy is getting a D1SC. Need to quite being lazy and start the install and make a build thread already.

Congratulations to George Toll for completely dominating the NMCA / Chevrolet Performance Series Real Street class at the recent event in Indy! Toll claimed the #1 qualifier position, re-set the E.T. and MPH class records with a 7.678 @ 181.81 run, and took home the win!
