I run the LS9 cam out of a 2010 ZR1 and I have no complaints. I also have the match valve springs and am able to turn the motor to 7600 with no valve float.

We have one in the shop car, figured we would try it out with a 2300.
SS Camaro 2011
stock exhaust
headers with cats
CAI
6sp Auto unlocked converter, pulled in 4th.
9.5psi
made 592rwhp and 560rwhtq

Good things about the cam, it idles like stock, takes very little spring pressure to work, cheap, and quite.

Is it ideal in most setups? I would say no, but what it lacks in hp it makes up for in drive ability and fuel economy.

Which would be a better cam for a street only driven car a ls6 or ls9 on a 5.3l with the ebay gt45?
I ended up buying both of these cams as well as lifters, oil pump, springs, gaskets, ect from my friend who is quiting his job at the chevy dealership (his cost). I couldnt make up my mind on what cam to get so I got both and figured I would sell the one I didnt use. I have no powergoals, and running microsquirt so I can use either without the hassle of swapping cam sensors...

Here you go, looks like it might have squeaked another 5 in if I pulled it to 6800 or sampled longer.

I made 582whp through a 3600 stall with a 4.8/ls9 cam/ gt45.

thanks for the graph man. it looks like it peaks in exactly the right spot for a lot of junkyard builds. not so high to stress the bottom end, and not so low that the converter doesnt have a chance to couple up tightly.
