Default Single Turbo Merge at Flange

I figured I'd get an answer here as opposed to probably not getting one in the SBC section. Anyway this is technically a SBC 383 (single plane fuel injected), TFS 195cc heads and a Turbonetics TC78 Hurricane Benita 1.15 AR.

My headers are 3" collectors to 2.5" reducers, my entire hot side it 2.5" pipes but where they merge at the t4 flange (which I will call the merge at the y pipe), should I step it up to a 3" pipe at the T4 flange?
So basically two 2.5" pipes merge into a 3" y pipe at the T4 flange or should I keep it a 2.5" pipe?

I do a 3" pipe usually going into a T4 flange and also place the wastegate somewhere on that 3" pipe.

I split the pipes like this on most builds.

I made this out of 2.5" 90s. Slice the back edge off, flatten the sides in a vise, true up the edge with a disk/belt sander. Took maybe 2 hours.
