Haha. You can plan on it snowing or raining at every swap meet. I like how you guys have it connected to the rail. I would like to do that on the back but dont want my feed lines laying on the valley tray. I could do the same you guys did. Just turn it so the return points toward the intake. Or mount it in the middle. And run the lines to it. Do both of you guys only run that gauge for fuel pressure? No electric gauge?

no electric gauge yet, but I do plan on it eventually. Kinda makes tuning iffy with out knowing exactly what the fuel pressure is doing.

Good thread. I read through a lot of the turbo threads on here to get info for a future build and have been surprised I never seen anyone here mention a boost referenced FPR. I know with big enough injectors you don't need one but it seems like it makes sense to use one.

At lease someone else felt my pain. lol Dont you want a boost referenced fpr no matter what size injectors your running? Ill be using 80's. Its one of those parts everyone just hooks up and doesnt talk about much. lol Man I think they all look great in black. How do you know what base pressure to set? I see 43 psi seems to be popular but then like SUMTER was running 60 psi as a base. Is there a formula depending on injector size and that or...

Virtually every sensible boosted setup uses a boost reference. There is nothing odd or unusual about it. So if you dont see it mentioned, it's because it's assumed everyone is doing it that way already.
A bit like nobody mentioning they put fuel in their tanks.

As for base pressure, that is entirely up to the user and ultimate pressure the pump will be required to make.
Some pumps like the Walbro will fall flat on their face in terms of flow after 70-75psi, so it would be wise to ensure you never go that high.
So 60 base +15psi boost and already fuel system performance will be suffering badly. So he pumps would actually flow a lot more fuel at 45psi + 15psi boost.

Injectors will only flow more fuel at higher pressure if the fuel supply is actually behind them.

That was kinda my point as well. Its assumed they are running one so most people don't mention them. Thats why I was having trouble finding info on them. I wanted to learn from others experiences. If everyone is running them, I do to and make the best decision, based on the info provided. Thanks for all the info so far guys.

Very nice work rotary. Ill be running the holley unit so it has the electric sensor. That will be nice. On carbed motors, its way to expensive. lol Where are you guys getting them? I only found one place that has the black. Summit and Jegs don't carry them.

I kinda figured that was the case, just seemed weird people would list their setup with no mention of the FPR

Where in Iowa you at?
I use this on quite a few builds, works great and is cheap.
