Nope Wendy hasn't called me, but she really has no reason to just yet. I wrote her this morning just asking a few questions, nothing big. Let me know if any news comes up. But from what I've been told by Wendy and Scott everything is a go.

No wait. The Crank Pullys were the only thing missing when this GP started, but Kyle confirmed that they are in so the 8-rib units are ready to move.

You need to keep an eye out on their webpage. Current pricing is $595. However their supply costs are rising so that price might go up in the near future. That's what I've been told anways.

I see....I wish this would have been going on a while ago, probably would of gone this route instead of the COGS, I was weary of 8 ribs because I was tearing them apart

Yeah I was really on the fence which direction to go, Cogs, or SD. I think the thing that pushed my decision was how the Vortec F-Bods, ATI Vettes, and 03/04 Cobras almost never complain about slippage. All are using 6 or 8 rib self tensioned setups. Then I spoke with Scott and he explained what he does in his shop and how far he has taken these systems reliably and I was sold. But don't give up on the Cogs yet. It's new... there's always bugs in a new system.

Bos and Mike,

yes all they were waiting on before was the crank pulleys and they are in house as we speak and they are testing my setup on there motor now. They called me this afternoon ( not the other way around like other places) and asked if mine was going on a stock balancer or a ATI balencer. Bos, The price is a little cheaper and its not alot but it should cover shipping so thats cool and yes the price will be going up because they had to do the pulleys twice cause the machinist messed up and broke the key the first time and the grooves on the rib's werent deap enough so they were useless. They told me they would call me back tomorrow or monday and i believe them because they keep calling me when they say they will, to tell me to ship my bracket in. Im sending im my steel Automotion bracket so i dont have to take the blower off the car while its gone. So this looks really good and i should have mine back to me quick.........

Yep I wish this would have happened before I went with cogs. But ONWARD with these damn cogs....we will make them work

Question though....just in case.....since us cog guys had to lengthen the tensioner slot on our brackets upwards....would this be detrimental to getting the SD set up in the future? Does the SD set up use the stock tensioner slot in anyway or are we screwed and have to buy another bracket?

Thanks,
J

don't get too excited. I know they are waiting on measurements and other data from their unknowingly beta customers, aka me, and I don't have access to my car til this weekend to take the measurements and send that info back to them. My guess is they will ship 2 weeks from now. Still way better for you guys than the 6 months I have been waiting

for you guys it's worth the wait though, the stuff flat out works.

I will still be bitter for a little while

As to J's question, I am 99% sure that the answer is no it would not F you in the future.
They do use that slot but only as a fine tuning mechanism for tension.

Thanks Heath, cause I had 1.25 inches milled out of that slot and really wouldn't want to buy another bracket but would if I had to.
