anyone procharge a stock ls1 with 100K+
I was thinking about doing a p1sc on my stock ls1 with roughly 105k on it in the future with a conservative amount of boost so my engine will last til i can build a better one. id want to be in the 450 hp range with good drive ability since its a street car.
Nickel and diming me to death!!
All the big stuff is finished.. Waiting on some parts to come in and some finishing touches.

Might be a noob question but where can you buy methanol for the kit and how much does it generally cost?
Baby steps lol. I figure that range will be good with the way my car is currently setup. Since I have my built 60e I'm not too worried about it holding up at this level for a while.
Someone help me out, would 5# get me at where I'd wanna be on a p1?

Back in 2002 we installed a D-1SC 6 rib kit (only thing that was available back then) at 7 psi on my 99 Z28 that had 110,000 miles on it. Everything was stock on the engine except for Hooker headers and Hooker exhaust. Ran it this way for several years without any problems at all, and it was driven hard. We then installed a larger MMS crank pulley and it was at 15 psi of boost. We experimented with this combination on the dyno, it saw a lot of tuning time and excursions to dragstrips before we cracked the #7 piston. I got it down to a 11.01 in the 1/4 rowing gears. So close to getting into the 10's but the stock transmission started hanging up in gear at the track. My car had the twin 3.5" intercoolers, which was the only thing available back then.
5 psi of boost would make it feel pretty weak. The blower wouldn't be spinning very fast and you wouldn't feel it come in until somewhere around 4000 rpm. I doubt you would see 450 rwhp at 5 psi. You're going to want more boost, I would shoot for 8 psi. I would also skip a P-1SC and go with a D-1SC. The D-1SC won't have to be spun as fast to make 8 psi as a P-1SC does, so it will have a larger pulley on the head unit. A larger pulley gives it more belt wrap, which is better for preventing belt slippage. I would also go with the 8 rib kit and the larger 4.5" intercoolers. None of this is needed for 8 psi of boost, but boost is addicting and down the road you will most likely want more boost. The 1GJ204-SCI is the kit I recommend. Check out the kit at the link here, where I include the 1GJ204-SCI along with all the extra parts that are needed, except for spark plugs and a tune. http://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-1GJ20...-Speed-Kit.htm Bob

Kit listed in your link has the 8 rib upgrade and all pulleys needed for it correct? Also comes with the 4.5 IC and not the 3.5? Just making sure I am reading it right. Hopefully ordering one up soon.

Maybe it's the old age starting to kick in, but sometimes the different pages seem to read the same.
