Out of curiousity why does everyone use 2.5" on the crossover pipe

you could always use this...2" schedule 10 piping with its 2.15 ID which is pretty darn close to the 2.125 ID of 2.25 OD 16 gauge tubing and it is quite cheap! It is 304 stainless or 316 stainless and will be thick walls for good heat retention. The longer radius 90s are only like $8

1.5 inch primarys to 2 inch internal diamerter thick walled steam pipe here. spool is instant on a 346 with s475. the high compression is the key aswell.

Its a result of the all the right pieces to the combo. Any more info on the combination sounds pretty nice.

yer i agree phil ! mines a 346 ci,10.5 comp , 30thou milled 241 heads, s475 t4 83mm turbine 1.1a/r
mid 230's cam, 600 thou lift, vic jr manifold with 4 barrell throttle body and ev hat. th400/ptc converter, 3.08 rear gear with 26 inch tire.
pump fuel and 3, 14 gph methanol injection nozzles,
fun car. hopefully put it on e85 mid year.

So would 2.25 be to small for a 370 and bws476r and a 408 with x27588 in future.

Believe it or not, if I ever build a x275 combo it will have either a 2" or 2 1/8" crossover on it. Mid frame 88mm

I have had to re-do my hot side 3 times because of this thread I am currently at dual 1" to T3 so please stop ok?
