Default Help decode this picture

I have an opportunity to purchase a car that has flood damage. I was really looking for just the shell but in looking at the pictures I noticed some weird stuff and since I can only look at pictures at this point I am wondering if anyone can help me identify what might be happening.
  • Notice the Blue vaccuum(I think) controller that looks like a vortech piece.
  • Then look at the inlet from the intake and the out of the air box.
  • Finally appears to have some add on hoses and a breather on the oil fill

Keep in mind I am not really expecting much out of the motor and trans due to the water damage but to find something like a supercharger/turbo would be a huge bonus.
What do you guys and gals see in this picture. (besides alot of leaves and dirt) Might be nothing but if anyone would you guys would.

The intake goes straight down and it looks like it is right next to a check valve. The valve almost looks like a wastegate.

The blue thing is an FMU (fuel management unit) It raises fuel pressure in relation to boost. Its garbage for modern day tuning as it was used when those kits first came out. Looks like the factory black rubber oval intake part has one of those ebay aluminum adapters in it that transitions into round and some kind of black crinkle pipe on it that looks similar to the one that my old vortech kit had on it.

Considering the car has water damage do you think IF it is a Powerdyne that is would have any value at all?

As for the FMU there is really no reason to have one of those without some kind of power adder correct???

It is the upper intake part of a Powerdyne kit. You should be able to get a grand for the kit if it is OK. There will be a add-on booster fuel pump in line from the tank to the motor.

i see the fmu but it looks to me the blower has been removed but dont worry it would most likely be junk as far as the car goes if its going to be a track car i think it will be ok but gut the whole car and you may run into trouble with the elec system {lights}.

What makes me wonder is most superchargers mount kind of high. Not familiar enough with all the different types to know for sure.

To me it looks like a Powedyne kit. But didn't they make that kit for only 3.8l V6 models?
