ya its a mvb, i dont mind it. picked up an 88 hatch to steal the 8.8 with spool/axles etc and front struts/ caster camber plates +wheels/tires off of. started pulling parts off it last night and pulled the rear on my lunch break today.

was able to get the car mostly re-assembled over the weekend and sat it back on the ground. found out i need to get adjustable lower control arms to move rear end back and i need to raise the front up but both my floor jacks basically gave up on me so i had to wait till today to get a new jack.

my brother in law ordered a ton of parts for the 5.3 gt45 s10 so we worked on it a little also

Nice i have a set of 50's on mine. just a set of scabs until the car is closer to running. Nice to see they fit lowered some. I went ahead and went to town with my sledge just in case.

Looking good man.

took out a piston sunday playing around with a camaro. line came off wastegate, not sure at what point in the run it came off but as i was slowing down and starting to accelerate again i heard a rattle and it was running rough. going to put a 5.3 in it and prolly replace this piston or if i can find a set of gen4 pistons/rods ill swap to those.

Slap a piston in and go to town.

Gotta pull the master just to get the head off?

didnt want to sink a bunch of money in it so we pulled another piston and rod from another 5.3 and stuck it in this one. put the triple 12 cam in and the ebay headstuds. decided to go to the 1/8 mile track last night and best mph was 96 out of 3 passes i made. short shifted the first pass and hit limiter on 2nd pass. left off idle and it went 2.0 60'. it was on the 7lb gate spring last night with afr in the low 10's. need to fix some issues with the rear brakes, replace my worn out nittos with some mickeys and lean it out and hopfully try again at the track soon.

not much to update, switched it to e85 and took it to the track one more time. upped the boost to 14lbs and it went 7.5x at 87 after it blew the iat sensor out about 3-400ft out. it needs tires, rear brake work and the tune smoothed out before i go back just been lazy lately and havent messed with it.

put a new set of 275 pros on the car after changing my master cylinder and rear brake shoes (c-clip elims were leaking)

went to the local 1/8 fri, weather was terrible, hot and humid. da was 3300 i believe. made 3 passes, 101mph,101mph and 102mph all with 2.0x 60' on 14lbs of boost, 15 deg timing. been trying to get it to leave harder but havent got it to make any boost footbraking it with the 2 step. my 2step rpm is only set at 2200 otherwise i will push through the brakes so at some point if i dont put a trans brake in it ill have to have the converter loosened up i believe. my rear brakes still arent working near as good as they should, i need to replace the seals on my c clip elims as they are still leaking so i know thats a big issue but also the pedal doesnt feel right still. going to try swapping the stock mustang proportioning valve for an adjustable one. going to get that stuff straightened out but i am still looking for opinions on other things to try to get it leaving better. pulling 15deg timing on the 2 step also and it gets to 0"vac and stops.

Are you loosing any brake fluid? Guy on another forum had his wear through where it bends in the back seat before it exits back out.

Mine has a nice little flat spot there and ill be replacing it.

Doesn't lose any fluid, all lines have been replaced. New wheel cylinders in back and shoes. Doesn't seem to get the pressure it should to the rear.
