Or simply get a TC76 as it is a 68mm turbine, which would help more than the on3. plus it is only $695 from Huron and i have heard super reliable. Would help a little bit with the back pressure and be pretty cost affective.

I've had both a TC78, S475, S480 and a MP T70 and out of those I would run the S475. Maybe not with the 96mm turbine but there are a few different options. If you ever push the turbo to the limits and want more then you have the race cover you could add also.

If your good at fabrication theirs no reason why you couldn't fit a borg turbo in the bay. since you have a t56 i would either do a 83mm or 87mm turbine. If you have someone grind you a cam it will spool perfectly fine and i think you will be much more satisfied than going with a small t4 unit. Bigger engines need to breathe

From further research, I am leaning towards the S475, but I've read a lot about the t6 being too big for a 6.0/T56 combo... also. with the T6 flange, would I need to run a bigger crossover...? I was planning on 2 or 2-1/8" crossover.

Also, I am going to run a Holley Hi-Ram intake.

6.0, small cam, 2" hotpipes, s475 t4 83mm turbine, fastest spooling setup i've seen. would be sick with a t56. I think the t6 with the 83mm wheel would react very similar as well.

Good to hear. Spool speed is a priority here, but I have not decided between T4 and T6.

Also: I dropped off the engine at the machine shop last friday for a rebuild. It was no good. but Im just going to have it cleaned up with new bearings... nothing special.

I would do a t6 because its cheaper and has less back pressure. A 2 1/4" crossover is fine. If you get a cam spec'd for your setup the s475 will spool fine especially with the 83mm turbine. If you want to spend more the 87mm turbine would be ****. The reason I keep posting To get a cam specd is because that's the most important thing in getting turbos to spool and overall will make your combo come alive. Having a cam custom ground can make bigger turbos spool faster with small engines and in your case a manual trans

Spent some time planning today.

I decided I would put my radiator in the front bumper where most people have FMICs.

This will open up more room for me to situate my turbo.

It looks like I need a 13 x ~30" radiator.

This one is expensive, but would work perfectly.

Or, get one of these and remove a few rows. Should be easy enough.

idk if anybody is even reading this, but can I get away with immediately reducing to 3" for my exhuast? Space is not an issue... at all obviously, but im having a hard time finding 4" 304SS tubing...

I just need a 4" 304SS 6" rad U-bend with 6" from tangent. Then a XR-1 muffler will complete the exhaust out the bumper/fender. Otherwise... 3"? :/

What turbo did you decide on? You can always just shoot the exhaust in front of the tire. I see alot of people doing that now

I have commitment issues, so "decide" is a strong word. but, right now im planning on an S475.

If you look in the MS Paint artwork, the dashed line shows exactly that.

BTW, I ordered my intake, I can't wait to get it tomorrow and start cutting.

I hope you have some sort of bracing on the front there before cutting it all up. As for the reducer it won't be ideal by any means but I think it will be fine for what you are trying to do. Only downfall to using an S400 unit is if you go T4 flange its an upcharge making the price less attractive and the shear size and weight. All the units have the same dimensions I believe just different wheels and covers. The turbo itself weighs like 50lbs so its going to need some bracing but those units are popular for good reason. They are cheap and will take a serious beating and are very reliable.

I can't imagine having issues right now just pulling the upper crossmember out.

Ive found a couple places that sell 4" Stainless now, not cheap, but I think 4" will be worth it, since I have no clearance issues.

Yea, the $200 increase sucks, but for my goals I think it will be worth it. Especially just looking at the price increase of T6 turbo blankets.

Yea, I looked up the weight, I will be building a support, no worries there.

and clearly size will not be an issue here.

I think this turbo will fit my needs well.

I still like the T6 in on that set up and if dumping it at the bumper why not 5" straight out? MS for the downpipe would be good too just wrap it. It will last longer than your going to have it there.

I was just trying to help it spool quicker. Since this is a daily driver I will spend 95% of the time at part throttle/low rpm.

Also, I am starting to worry about how loud this will be. haha

Proper cam and you won't notice a difference. Smaller turbine options aswell.
