***LQ4 S475 E85 Non-Intercooled - Daily Driver***
So, I am reincarnating that chassis, which I have a lot of time into.

Double Dipping, my will be my DD, and is forcing me to double dip into my project funds...

Current Plan:
LQ4, Truck Manifolds, 78mm Turbo, No intercooler, E85, 12-15psi
Have:
LQ4
317s
DR Timing Chain
Machined Timing Cover
Ported LS6 Oil Pump
Moroso Oil Pan
Pushrods
LS1 Rockers
ARP Head Bolts
FAST 2 Bar MAP Sensor
Fuel System
Built Car
Need:
LS7 Lifters
Head gaskets L92 or LS9
Cam (suggestions... I really don't want any lope, been there done that)
Valve Springs (thinking PRC golds)
Intake (I would really like to run the holley hi-ram, need more research)
Fuel Rails
Injectors?(I have 85# shorties, depends on intake)
Truck Manifolds
V-bands
304SS tubing (2" crossover?)
T4 Flange
Turbo (thinking a T7875)
Oil feed/drain
Alum tubing
Coupler
WG(P46)
BOV
Also, with as much time as I spent getting the car to look as clean as it does, I want to continue that during this build, which will make things a little difficult.

My only suggestions:
valve springs - check out Brian Tooley....I just ordered a set and they are very nice
Turbo - depending on budget I would look into PT7675 or T-netics 7875/7675. My TC78 has been a great starter turbo but with your extra cubes you would def benefit from more turbine

Yea, I saw the Tooley springs for sale. I had not heard of them, the last time I researched a build like this was 2009, before I got carried away on the big cube LSX game.
As far as the TC78, where are you with it, as far as whp or psi.. My goal right now is just to have the car done when the roads are ready. Im really not sure of my power goals, idk what is reasonable with this shortblock/etc.
Last year I was busy working out the tuning, etc so I never went above my 6lb WG spring. I never dyno'd the car but at 6psi I was hitting my rev limiter at 121.5mph in the quarter. This year I bought an electronic boost controller and plan on increasing the boost to 9-10psi to start.
The TC78 will probably take you as far as or further than the stock longblock but you would likely need to shift early due to the exhaust restriction. The TC78 is considered too small for even my 346c.i. but it fit well within my budget and power goals. I'm happy with it for now.

Oh yea, I remember now. Of course... forgive me, Ive been up all night doing homework.
Yea, I revved my 454 to 7900, but I dont plan on doing that again, I think Ill be happy with the TC78 for now. I just want to do some cruisin. I mean, i haven't made any firm decisions, but thats where Im leaning.
) Im more interested in cheap reliably power (meaning I have to give up going fast)Ill look into the 7875
They radiator may end up vertical, as I said, engine bay cleanliness is a top priority.

its great but far too small. 7675 at a minimum.
So, I just did a bit of research and confirmed what you were telling me. Looks like im going to have to make some more room in my budget for a 7875... Turbonetics or Precision?

I was thinking I would go with a pair of their 70mm turbos... but after seeing some impressive results from their 76, I am planning on going with a single 76.
I will order my hotside piping and turbo and stuff next week.
This weekend, I am unpacking the car, and trying to organize the garage a little.
FTR this is a T56 build and I have no plans to upgrade. I am trying to get this car on the road, so I can start to spend time building my new project.
