it obviously has the Forced Inductions Tag on it and ill email Jose but just curious for tonight.

I measured 78/110 compressor and 75/83 turbine

Divided T4 housing and a see a 110 after some other numbers on the turbine housing

on the FI sight it looks like a S400SX-78 ETT*

Yeah man you is it. That will be a monster turbo for you! its a s478-83 1.10a/r turbine housing. It will make more powa than your tc78 with less backpressure. In fact you probably will not see a difference in spool time. Did you buy it?

A friend wants to sell it to me but wasn't sure of specs- I'm also not sure if it will physically fit with my hot-side- I know the down-pipe will need to be reworked and possibly the cold side- If I don't use it he wants me to try to sell it for him.

its up to you brother. No doubt in my mind it will make more power and more than likely spool the same but it depends if you want to spend the extra money. They are large turbos but they last FORRRREVVVVER! very durable turbos and they are proven to make power. Are you getting for a good price?

i ran a bw 80/83 turbo on my old setup. it did pretty good. i had forged 6.0 with stock 317 heads and a vic jr intake and it went 9.1@148 on pump gas and meth with a loose converter on 20psi.

Impressive- I nut-swing off a few of your youtube videos- Ive posted them on my local forums.

A friend mentioned he would sell it so im just doing research.

My TC78 just went 143 on 16psi- I almost hate to abandon the little soldier and just turn up the boost on it. But it has the 68mm turbine wheel and Ive been looking to upgrade to a 75mm turbine.

Some say the BW's aren't as laggy as you would think.... I dunno

Anyone else have any input on how laggy a S4XX will be on a 4.8?

Your turbo will put you in the mid to low 9's if you turn up the boost and drive it better.

That is a good turbo but what you have is also no slouch on that 4.8. You could always upgrade to the new turbonetics 78 or the Precision CEA 7675 and those would be enough for 8 second passes without redoing your kit. The S400's are great turbos but big and heavy when trying to fit it on a kit built for a TC turbo.
