I would at least use a wire used for dissimilar metals.

The manifolds are CAST STEEL no need for all the BS just clean them up and mig the hell out of them it's that easy,using plain old er70s MIG wire nothing special. I have welded a bunch of the never had and issue not once.

I just Tig welded mine on with regular er70 rod, no pre heat at all.
