I have no personal experience to prove this to be true but I did a lot of research of other supercharger wastegate setups before I did mine. From what I gathered is that if you put a small ( 38mm ) on a f1x procharger and are trying to bleed of let's say 10 pounds off peak rpm . The wastegate may be to small to keep up with the sheer volume of air it had to dump. I think the proper size wastegate is key for it to work properly.
